Bridgeview Centre

Our Bridgeview Centre is now open as a day centre and for drop-in Monday to Friday:

Monday 10am – 3pm
Tuesday 10am – 1pm (1pm – 3pm appointments only)
Wednesday 10am – 3pm
Thursday (10am – 1pm appointments only) 1pm – 3pm
Friday 10am – 3pm

Our friendly team provides professional support, signposting, warmth and hot drinks to those facing homelessness, as well as washing facilities, food provision, sleeping bags/blankets and drug/alcohol recovery support.

At Bridgeview Assessment Centre we provide an assessment center provision to support those who may be rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping to receive support from our multi-disciplinary team. Bridgeview is open Monday-Friday 10am-3pm as a drop in service and provides a multi-faceted response to meet the needs of those who may present. We have visiting professionals who attend the centre every week including; Citizens Advice Bureau, Department of Work & Pensions, Turning Point and Health Outreach. We are able to provide additional services to those who re rough sleeping including; showering facilities, laundry, hot meals and provisions for rough sleeping if required.

RSI (Rough Sleeper Initiative)

Our Rough Sleeper Initiative services provide support to adults over the age of 18 who present as rough sleeping or at risk of rough sleeping.

We operate several schemes within our Rough Sleeper Initiative services including:

  • The Somewhere Safe To Stay Hub; this accommodation provision is available to individuals over the age of 18 who require emergency short term temporary accommodation and the service is nominated into by our partner, East Suffolk Council. This provides a 24/7 staffed accommodation site providing support to those individuals whilst they navigate possible move on accommodation to meet their needs longer term.
  • Rough Sleeper Initiative accommodation; we provide ten bed spaces across East Suffolk which provide support to those who are verified as rough sleeping by the Rough Sleeping Team at East Suffolk Council and subsequently nominated into accommodation as per the guidance of the ‘No Second Night Out’ concept.
  • Statutory Temporary Accommodation; we provide 14 statutory temporary accommodation self-contained flats within Lowestoft to accommodate adults over the age of 18 who are entitled to this provision through a presenting priority need.
  • Navigator scheme; we have a team of highly skilled workers who work with individuals over the age of 18 who are referred to the service who require intense support to move forward with key support needs. The team caseload manage a small group of individuals who need support with advocacy to improve their current living circumstances.

We work with our nominating provider, East Suffolk Council, to provide information and guidance to move in from this accommodation into more suitable provision to meet their needs.
